‘Left on the Right Side’

exhibition “Left Right”, at the Art Museum of Sichuan University, Chengdu, China,
in 2007
‘Left on the Right Side’
is a video installation.It
involved interviews with a number of scholars from Oxford University
whose academic fields are associated with Chinese studies. The scholars were of
various nationalities and included professors, lecturers and students. By
making a collective statement of Western academic interests, “Left on the Right
Side” attempts to look into how the West became interested in issues concerning
China
and forms one collaged relationship between the East and West from different
viewpoints.
